ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on multilingual language acquisition is critical in a linguistically diverse world. This study aimed to investigate how early childhood education programs influence multilingual language development in young children. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in language proficiency across multiple languages, (2) evaluate the role of immersion and interactive teaching methods, and (3) examine cognitive benefits associated with multilingualism. A survey design was employed to collect comprehensive data from participants. A purposive sample of 140 children aged 3-6 years, exposed to multilingual education, was selected from an early childhood education center in Abuja. Findings indicated significant improvements in language proficiency, the effectiveness of immersion and interactive teaching methods, and cognitive benefits such as enhanced memory and problem-solving skills. Recommendations included integrating multilingual education into early childhood programs and training educators to use interactive and immersive teaching methods.
